BarentsKrans advises Millenaar & van Schaik on entry BAM

BarentsKrans has advised Millenaar & van Schaik Beheer BV on the entry of BAM Rail Infra Nederland (part of the BAM Group) as a new shareholder. Furthermore, BarentsKrans advised on the expansion of the interests of the three existing shareholders: Dura Vermeer, Heijmans and Versluys Groep. BAM will participate in the well-run partnership between these construction companies.

As one of the largest transporters of asphalt in the Netherlands, Millenaar & van Schaik plays a leading role in the transition from fossil to sustainable transport. To this end, the company is innovating and investing in electrically powered trucks and using the more sustainable Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel. This is in line with the strategy of the construction companies involved, in which sustainability plays a central role.

All four construction companies are investing in achieving zero-emission construction sites. By working together and investing in the asphalt transport company, they reduce the CO2 emissions of transport to and from a construction site on projects where they need asphalt.
