BarentsKrans’ Intellectual Property & Technology team has won the award for Impact Case of the Year at the LMG Life Sciences Awards EMEA event on 13 July 2023. The team received this award for its work in pan-European litigation between Mylan and Novartis on the alleged infringement or invalidity of a Novartis patent for fingolimod, a blockbuster drug and one of the most widely prescribed medication worldwide for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.
Jaap Bremer and Jarieke Timmerman were presented the award at the event in London. The annual awards recognise leading law firms, lawyers, cases and transactions in the life sciences industry in the EMEA region.
