BarentsKrans has advised Horticoop on the acquisition of the shares in SmartCoat B.V. from Finoxa. Horticoop already held 80% of the shares and became the sole shareholder of Smartcoat at the end of 2020 as a result of this transaction.

SmartCoat is with her brands Redusysems and Sudlac active in more than 50 countries and produces innovating coatings and cleaning agents which enables the grower to influence the greenhouse climate even better.

The acquisition of the remaining shares in SmartCoat is part of the strategic transition process of Horticoop. Horticoop wants to create value for her stakeholders and contribute to a healthy future for the (glass)horticulture.

Michiel Martin, Thomas van Hövell tot Westervlier, Robert-Jan Zwaan and Koen van Wijk were involved in this transaction.
