The Netherlands is a trading nation as well as an important hub in the structuring of international corporations and cross-border transactions.
BarentsKrans has a wide range of foreign clients to which we provide Dutch legal advice, such as financial institutions, listed and private companies, private equity funds, venture capital funds, but also sovereign states and public international organisations.
As an independent Dutch law firm, we are not part of any formal international network of law firms, but we work closely with law firms across the globe. We have no exclusive relationships. We do invest in the solid relationships we have with a limited number of foreign law firms which embrace the same policy. This enables us to refer our Dutch clients to the law firm best suited for the issue at hand.
We invest in our relationships with foreign law firms by participating in joint networking events such as industry workshops and trainings, and also by exchanging secondees, but most of all by working together in teams for clients on their projects.
We participate in international knowledge organisations such as the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats, the European Competition Lawyers Association and the International Trademark Association.
