Sam van der Weiden
Sam holds a law degree in Dutch law (LLM) from the University of Maastricht. He directed his studies to the area of civil law and administrative law. During his studies, Sam worked several years as a court clerk for the district court in Maastricht. Sam joined BarentsKrans in 2015 and is a member of the Real Estate practice group. At Maastricht University, he studied both private law and administrative law. This combination enables Sam to see the big picture and provide broad advice to clients.
Within BarentsKrans’ extensive real estate practice, Sam mostly focuses on the exploitation and development of real estate as well as tenancy law and sustainable energy projects.
Sam is especially interested in liability law and attachment and execution law. During his time in the Corporate & Commercial Litigation practice group, Sam worked as part of a team on complex large-scale damage claims for 18 months.
