Maxim joined BarentsKrans in May 2022 where he initially formed part of the Intellectual Property & Technology team. He now works at the Corporate, Commercial and Financial Litigation department. Maxim graduated from both the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University. From the former he obtained his Master of Laws in the field of Information Law (2021), while he obtained his Master of Laws in the field of Civil Law from the latter (2022). He wrote his theses on the scope of the freedom of expression on online platforms and on the relation between FRAND requirements and rules of civil procedure. Maxim has advised and litigated across the full width of intellectual property law. From national proceedings regarding the interpretation of licensing agreements to advice on the validity of patents.
