Celine is an experienced senior associate in the Commercial Contracts practice group of BarentsKrans. She advises both nationally and internationally operating clients on matters relating to commercial contracts.

Celine is very skilled in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including distribution agreements, agency agreements, franchise agreements, purchase and services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, loan for use agreements, logistics/transportation agreements and general terms and conditions. In addition, Celine advises clients on matters relating to issues including such as contract interpretation, contract termination and exiting negotiations in the pre-contractual phase.

Celine also has extensive knowledge of the e-commerce field (both B2B and B2C). Regarding consumer laws, she regularly advises on matters regarding product liability, (pre-contractual) information obligations, unfair terms, misleading advertising and she assists clients in the event of regulatory enforcement by the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).

Further, Celine represents clients in disputes relating to commercial contracts, both before the national courts and in arbitration (NAI and ICC). She also has ample experience in alternative dispute resolution such as before consumer complaint boards and the Dutch Advertising Code Committee. Lastly, she has several times acted as secretary in cases before the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI) in recent years.

In 2022, Celine successfully completed the National and International Contracts specialisation course at the Grotius Academy.

Before joining BarentsKrans in 2021, Celine was part of the Intellectual Property & Technology group of Dentons Europe LLP (Amsterdam office). In this role she also focused on (e-)privacy and cyber security issues, including data protection related matters.

In 2019, Celine was a finalist for Legal Women’s Upcoming Talent Award
