Annelies heads BarentsKrans’ Commercial Contracts team. She joined BarentsKrans in 2016. Annelies specialises in national and international commercial contract law and liability law with a focus on drafting and reviewing supply and purchase agreements (including standard documentation), (cross-border) distribution, franchise and agency agreements and general terms and conditions. She also frequently conducts legal proceedings regarding commercial disputes. Annelies furthermore advises both national and international clients on issues relating to e-commerce (including the use of general terms and conditions in B2B or B2C legal relationships), consumer law and international private law.

Annelies is also a highly experienced litigation lawyer. She represents large Dutch and international companies in complex liability issues, post-M&A disputes and disputes on matters such as nonconformity and warranty claims, termination of long-term commercial contracts and the interpretation of contractual clauses. Her clients operate in sectors ranging from telecommunications, ICT, food and agriculture, automobiles and petrochemicals to construction and installation.
