A successful second edition of the Defence Workshop
On Tuesday 11 February and Wednesday 12 February BarentsKrans was host of the second edition of the Defence Workshop. With participants and speakers from 13 different countries with a special interest in the Aerospace & Defence sector the workshop provided an international platform for the exchange of knowledge, contacts and experience in the sector. The overarching theme was “Innovation and export, an international legal level playing field?”.
Since the first edition of the Defence Workshop, organized by German law firm Oppenhoff & Partner, last year, developments in the Aerospace & Defence sector have continued in rapid pace. International consolidation, the introduction of new regulations as well as the need for international cooperation from a commercial, but also from a legal perspective are continuing. Even public law entities such as NATO Military Headquarters are confronted with litigation in the field.
The program included drinks and dinner on the first day and workshops with speakers from different countries and perspectives on the second day in the beautiful historical city center of legal capital The Hague, the Netherlands.
Rhamsey Croes, Joost Fanoy, Harry Rek and Guido den Dekker were happy to host this event and look forward to next year’s edition.
