In the Netherlands, companies or organisations with 50 or more employees are required to have a works council. Employers must by law ask their council for advice or even approval on many important decisions. We have ample experience with both national and international issues of this kind. We also regularly provide advice on other co-determination subjects, for instance the drafting of or compliance with agreements between management and council, organizing works council elections, or the division of competencies between works councils at different levels within the organisation (works council, group works council, central works council or joint works council).
