Jan-Paul Heering heads the Supreme Court litigation group. He has wide experience in Supreme Court litigation and appellate litigation. He advises lawyers and their clients on complex civil and administrative law matters. He also specializes in civil liability cases and insurance law. Jan-Paul is a lawyer since 1995. He became partner of BarentsKrans in 2004 and is one of the best known cassation experts in the Netherlands.
Examples of relevant work
Rosneft/Yukos: litigation on the enforcement of a EUR 350 mln arbitral award, we advise Rosneft on pending proceedings against Yukos in the United Kingdom and other matters.
Waterboard/Municipality De RondeVenen: High profile case regarding liability for damages caused by flooding due to a breach in dike.
SGP/State of the Netherlands: Supreme Court Procedure on conflicting human rights of a Political Party, going on before the European Court of Human Rights.
