Labour Law
Dutch labour law is a vast and complex legal field which, moreover, is in a constant state of flux. As an employer it is virtually impossible to stay up to date and attune your policy to current developments. Fortunately, you do not need to: our Labour Law department will keep track for you. Internally, we have weekly department meetings to discuss the endless flow of statutory amendments, case law and new professional literature.
Support for employers
Our clients are comprised of Dutch and international employers. We provide advisory services on labour law to banks, healthcare and educational organisations, telecom companies, transport companies and retailers. Additionally, we offer specific experience and expertise in the field of civil service law, as governmental and quasi-governmental organisations are subject to specific regulations. We assist ministries, universities, university hospitals, municipalities, provinces and senior civil servants. Our department helps clients translate new or existing legislation into the terms of their day-to-day business. We advise on employment policy, the drafting of contracts, amendments to terms of employment, Works Council consultations and absenteeism and sick leave issues. Additionally, we advise on employment disputes, such as disputes with statutory directors, and can assist you in labour law litigation.
We like to share our know-how
You can regularly find us as lecturers or speakers at conferences and training courses dealing with specific developments in labour law. Additionally, we are active in the scholarly field: our publications appear in many professional journals. Professor Wijnand Zondag of the University of Groningen contributes to our department and deploys his scholarly knowledge for us in complex labour law cases.
