Social responsibility

BarentsKrans’s strategy for social responsibility primarily focuses on making a difference in the communities where we live and work. Many of our fee earners serve their communities by taking up posts in the government and public sector, providing pro bono legal counselling and making themselves available for voluntary work.

Attorneys in our Supreme Court department provide legal aid for Supreme Court cases, affording access to the highest court of appeal for parties to civil cases who otherwise might not have it.

We also partner with our clients to sponsor projects. In 2010, for example, we joined German automobile manufacturer BMW in its initiative to support The Dutch Cancer Foundation by climbing the legendary Tour de France stage of the Alpe d’Huez. Members of our firm also participate in the National Ice Skating Race to raise money for The Kidney Foundation.
